Our GBV programs use both grassroots advocacy and tech innovation to prevent and respond to violence. From digital safety training to emergency shelter referral tools, we’re creating survivor-centered solutions and building safer communities for all.



1. SafeTech Spaces for Girls

Overview:
We provide girls with safe digital and physical spaces to document and report abuse through encrypted tech tools and trained facilitators.

Objectives:

To enable confidential reporting of abuse

To increase digital literacy for protection

To support survivors through tech-enabled platforms

Activities:

Installation of digital GBV reporting kiosks

Girls-only digital labs for safety and learning

Training on privacy, encryption, and self-defense apps

Target Audience:
Girls aged 12–25 in urban/rural areas

2. DEI – Community Gender Watch Groups

Overview:
We train inclusive, diverse youth groups as monitors and first responders to violence and exploitation in their communities—protecting all gender identities.

Objectives:

To create inclusive GBV response networks

To foster community responsibility and surveillance

To champion gender diversity and equity

Activities:

Youth training on DEI, GBV indicators, and response

Creation of community watch protocols

Regular community check-ins and reporting

Target Audience:
Youth leaders, community members of all genders

3. Digital Safety for Women Training Series

Overview:
We host regular training sessions for women on how to stay safe online—addressing cyberbullying, online harassment, and digital privacy.

Objectives:

To increase women’s online security

To reduce incidents of tech-facilitated GBV

To build confidence in digital expression

Activities:

Workshops on privacy settings, doxing prevention, and data safety

Real-life case simulations and role-plays

One-on-one support for victims of cyberviolence

Target Audience:
Women and girls aged 15+, especially online content creators

4. Legal Rights Awareness Clinics

Overview:
We organize legal clinics to educate women on their rights under Ugandan law, reporting procedures, and how to access justice.

Objectives:

To build legal literacy around GBV and human rights

To improve confidence in the legal system

To connect women with legal aid services

Activities:

Monthly mobile legal clinics in target districts

Paralegal training and referral support

Co-hosted sessions with human rights lawyers

Target Audience:
Women survivors of violence, youth, community activists

5. TF-GBV Emergency Safe Shelter Partnerships

Overview:
We partner with existing shelters to provide emergency safe spaces for girls and women affected by tech-facilitated and offline violence—supported by digital referral tools.

Objectives:

To expand shelter access to survivors of all forms of GBV

To create a tech-based referral system

To support healing and reintegration

Activities:

Referral platform linking girls to partner shelters

Trauma-informed psychosocial support

Reintegration programs post-crisis

Target Audience:
GBV survivors, local CSOs, first responders
